The final 24 hour race of the season in the Creventic Series took place at the world famous Circuit of the Americas facility in Texas mid November.
Slidesports made the long trip to North America with the Porsche 991 GT3 Cup car that had performed so well during the Porsche Carrera Cup GB season, and the drivers were all on form.
Carrera Cup GB regulars David Fairbrother and Graeme Mundy were joined by Nigel Armstrong and Colin Paton, and all 4 drivers performed admirably throughout the event.
Due to local legislation the race was divided in two, with the first 14 hours during Saturday, and the remaining 10 hours on Sunday, which brought a welcome break for both drivers and mechanics.
Running in the overall top 10 for most of the event indicated that a fantastic result was on the cards, and after 24 hours of racing the end result was 13th overall, and 3rd place in class.
Taking into consideration that many of the front runners were full GT3 factory or factory supported teams, the result is put into perspective.
It was a fitting end to a great weekend and an excellent trip when the 4 drivers took to the podium after the race and collected their trophies.
